The Southeast Missouri Gymnastics team, affectionately known as the Gymhawks, achieved a new season-high score of 193.325 at the Texas Woman’s Tri-Meet held at Kitty Magee Arena in Denton, Texas. The event saw Texas Woman’s University clinch the top spot with a score of 194.875, while West Chester University finished third with a 191.750.

Gymhawks Shine on Bars
The Gymhawks initiated their night on the bars, setting a strong tone for the rest of the meet. Senior Lindsay Ockler led the charge with an impressive 9.800, marking her second score of the season at this level. This performance helped the Redhawks achieve a team score of 48.700 in the opening rotation.
Notable Performances on Bars
Two athletes, Junior Kailyn Hamilton and Sophomore Ava Johnston, commenced the rotation with back-to-back scores of 9.700. For Johnston, this was her season debut, while Hamilton achieved a new season high.
Sydney Crouch and Janelle Lopez both turned in season-high scores of 9.750, tying for second place in the rotation. Taylor Ingle rounded out the bars rotation with a 9.675, setting the stage for the next event.

Sophomore Jaidan Kossuth led the team with a new season-high score of 9.700 in the first spot of the lineup. Sophomore Leah Parton also excelled, leading the rotation with a 9.725, her season best. Other notable scores included Ailey Kuehn (9.050), Janelle Lopez (9.225), and Taylor Ingle (9.100).

The floor exercise was where the Gymhawks truly shone, achieving a team score of 48.900. This rotation was crucial in keeping their overall score competitive.
