The No. 1 Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team is set to showcase their remarkable talent at the highly anticipated Sprout’s Farmer’s Market Collegiate Quad. This event, hosted by ESPN Events, will feature top-tier collegiate gymnastics teams, including No. 2 LSU, No. 4 Utah, and No. 6 California.
The meet will air live on ABC at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. This competition promises to be a thrilling display of skill and athleticism, with some of the best gymnasts in the nation vying for supremacy.
The Sooners’ Dominant Season Opener
Oklahoma started their season with an impressive victory at the American Gold Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Classic in Nashville on January 4. The Sooners secured a team score of 197.550, defeating Auburn, BYU, and Nebraska.
This stellar performance has set the tone for what looks to be a promising season.

Keira Wells: SEC Specialist of the Week
Sophomore Keira Wells earned the SEC Specialist of the Week honor following her exceptional performance in the season opener.
Her career-high 9.95 on the Yurchenko 1.5 not only secured the event title but also tied for the highest score in the nation on vault.
Wells’ contribution was pivotal in helping the team achieve the highest vault score in the country, a 49.450.
All-Around Excellence
Oklahoma’s depth in the all-around category is evident with five athletes competing in all four events during the season opener.
Jordan Bowers, Audrey Davis, and Faith Torrez brought their substantial experience to the competition, while freshmen Addison Fatta and Lily Pederson made impressive collegiate debuts.
Torrez’s score of 39.625 was the highest among her teammates, with Pederson’s 39.550 marking the second-highest debut all-around score for a freshman in OU history.

- No. 2 LSU: The Tigers posted a 197.300 in their season opener, led by Aleah Finnegan’s 39.725 in the all-around. LSU is currently ranked No. 1 on floor with a 49.500 mark.
- No. 4 Utah: Utah scored a 196.775 in their opening meet against Utah State and is ranked No. 1 on beam with a 49.475. Makenna Smith led the team with a 39.500 in the all-around.
- No. 6 California: The Golden Bears earned a 196.275 in their season opener, securing wins over UCLA and Oregon State. Mya Lauzon led the way with a 39.525 in the all-around.
