The Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team, ranked No. 1 in the nation, is set to compete in the highly anticipated Sprout’s Farmer’s Market Collegiate Quad in Oklahoma City. This event will be broadcast live on ABC. It features top-tier teams including No. 2 LSU, No. 4 Utah, and No. 6 California.
With a stellar start to their season, the Sooners are poised to showcase their talent and continue their winning streak.
Return to the Floor
The Sooners are coming off a victorious season opener at the American Gold Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Classic in Nashville. There, they scored an impressive 197.550. This performance solidified their No. 1 ranking and set the stage for their upcoming meet.
The Collegiate Quad will be held at the Paycom Center, offering a grand platform for these elite gymnasts.

The event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2:45 p.m. CT. Fans can catch the action live on ABC, with commentary by John Roethlisberger and Aly Raisman. Taylor Davis will provide sideline reporting. For those who prefer to follow the stats, Virtius will provide real-time updates.
Recap of the Season Opener
In their first meet of the season, the Sooners dominated with a score of 197.550, defeating Auburn, BYU, and Nebraska. Five Sooners competed in the all-around, with Faith Torrez leading the pack with a score of 39.625.

Freshman Lily Pederson made an impressive debut, earning a 39.550 and placing second. Other notable performances included Audrey Davis with a 39.425, Addison Fatta with a 39.325, and Jordan Bowers with a 39.275.
Event Titles
The Sooners secured event titles across all four apparatuses:
- Vault: Keira Wells with a 9.95
- Uneven Bars: Audrey Davis with a 9.95
- Floor: Audrey Davis and Faith Torrez with matching 9.875s
- Beam: Lily Pederson with a 9.95
Keira Wells Honored by SEC
Sophomore Keira Wells received the SEC Specialist of the Week honor after her standout performance in the season opener. Her career-high score of 9.95 on the Yurchenko 1.5 was the highest in the nation for that event. Wells’ contribution helped the team achieve the highest vault score in the country, a 49.450.
All-Around Excellence
The Sooners showcased their depth by having five athletes compete in the all-around. Torrez led the group with a 39.625, followed closely by Pederson’s 39.550.
Pederson’s score is the second-highest debut all-around score for a freshman in OU history, trailing only Maggie Nichols and Olivia Trautman.
Top-Ranked Team
Oklahoma remains the No. 1 team in the nation, thanks to their outstanding performance in the season opener. They are also ranked No. 1 on vault and uneven bars, No. 2 on beam, and fifth on floor. Their score of 49.550 on bars was the highest of any individual event on opening weekend.
Freshman Impact
The Sooners’ freshman class made a significant impact in their collegiate debuts. Addison Fatta and Lily Pederson competed in the all-around, while Elle Mueller participated on the uneven bars and performed an exhibition floor routine. Kelsey Slade also showcased her skills with an exhibition routine on bars, highlighting the depth and potential of the freshman class.

No. 2 LSU
LSU comes into the meet ranked No. 2 after posting a 197.300 in their season opener against Iowa State. Aleah Finnegan led the Tigers with a 39.725 in the all-around, earning SEC Gymnast of the Week honors. Freshman Kailin Chio also impressed with a 39.575, earning SEC Freshman of the Week. LSU leads the nation on floor with a 49.500 mark.
No. 4 Utah
Utah is ranked No. 4 after scoring a 196.775 in their opening meet against Utah State. The Red Rocks are the top-ranked team on beam, with a score of 49.475. Makenna Smith led Utah with a 39.500 in the all-around.
No. 6 California
California enters the meet ranked No. 6 after scoring a 196.275 in their season opener. The Golden Bears secured victories over UCLA and Oregon State, with Mya Lauzon leading the team with a 39.525 in the all-around.
Looking Ahead
Following the Collegiate Quad, the Sooners will return home to Lloyd Noble Center for their SEC opener against Missouri on Friday, Jan. 17, at 7:15 p.m. CT. The meet will be broadcast on SEC Network.
